The Temple Theatre has been a beautiful structure from the conceptive blueprints of the mid 1920's, to our present day facility. After undergoing a $7 Million renovation in 2003, the Temple Theatre is just as magnificent now as it was in 1927, but with modern ammenities to accommodate various forms of today's greatest entertainment.
If you are curious about the theatre, the building or the work that has been done, please plan to take one of our tours. We make several tours available, and we would also be happy to customize a special tour for your group.
For a simple walk through tour, please call ahead to arrange the time and availability of a personal guide. This tour is for groups of 5 people or less.
Are you interested in the Barton theatre Organ? We also have tours available with a short concert by our staff organist, and even a short silent film. You may even tour with our theatre historian and organ curator, which includes a demonstration of the organ and its resources. Much of the detail regarding the history and restoration can be discovered on one of these tours.
During the months of June, July and August, we offer âTâ tours: Temple Theatre Tours, every Tuesday at 2 PM, and only costs $2 per person. This is one of our most popular tours, which lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
Our most elaborate tour includes one of the above tours with a lunch or dinner served on the stage of the theatre. Please contact the Temple Theatre Box Office at 877-754-SHOW to make your arrangements.
