Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra: Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique June 1, 2019
Concluding the season is a performance that includes selections from some of the most exciting romantic symphonic repertoire. Opening the concert is Wagner’s Prelude to his famous opera, The Meistersingers of Nurnberg, followed by a composer who is known as the “Father of the Symphony”, Haydn’s Symphony No. 83 (The Hen), and concluding with one of Tchaikovsky’s most powerful and emotionally charged symphonies, The Pathétique.
